For weeks the Lord has reminded me of the power of hope. Perhaps you’re living through an awfully difficult situation. Maybe you’re tired of the opposition, and you’ve got no fight left in you. Or, perhaps, like me, you see the chaos, but you refuse to believe this is the end of your story.
Can I encourage you today?
Every seed you’ve sown WILL produce a harvest. They WILL yield fruit. They WILL NOT be wasted.
Every time you chose beauty, truth, and goodness instead of bitterness, deceit, and apathy, you were planting seeds… they WILL yield a good harvest.
Every time you chose joy when despair and depression seemed more reasonable, you were planting seeds… they WILL yield a good harvest.
Every time you chose righteousness when culture enticed you to compromise, you were planting seeds…they WILL yield a good harvest.
Every time you spoke forth life, or simply held your tongue, when what you wanted to do what sputter all kinds of words in defense, you were sowing seeds…they WILL yield a good harvest.
Every time you wrestled hopelessness down–and refusing to let its deathly hold tackle you down into despair– you gripped hope with all your might, you were sowing seeds…they WILL yield a good harvest.
Every time you chose to lean into Jesus and do the hard work of abiding, when what you wanted was the quick fix, yeah, especially then… you were sowing seeds and they WILL yield a good harvest!
My friend, do not lose sight of the promise. Write it down in bold letters on the walls if you must. Record it on the tablets of your heart. Wait on the Lord. Hope in His word. In due season, every single seed sown WILL produce a mighty harvest!! (Gal. 6:9)
“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.” Psalm 130:5
